Why do my results differ from my doctors office?
Answer: Only Hemoglobin A1c tests done by the same method should be compared to one another. A1c tests from other companies or laboratories will not necessarily produce the same readings from your blood sample. Be sure to talk to your healthcare professional about your test results. Considerable work is being done to standardize the testing methods but significant differences still exist.
